Bangladesh Army and TigerITBD.Com jointly developed website to correct voter list info

The Election Commission (EC) launched a website yesterday to get help from voters in Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) area to correct mistakes in recording their particulars for the voter list with photographs.

The webpage www.voterlist.gov.bd contains details of voters who are already registered and they can check their particulars there. If a voter finds any mistake there, he or she can leave some remarks and the authorities will later correct it.

The Election Commission yesterday started taking photograph and fingerprint of voters to complete the process of voters' registration in Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) area.

President Iajuddin Ahmed and his wife Anwara Begum got their names registered with photographs at Bangabhaban Primary School Voter Registration Centre.

Voter list to be flawless - says CEC

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) ATM Shamsul Huda yesterday said that the Election Commission (EC) would prepare a voter list free from flaws and acceptable to all.

"There were 1.22 crore fake voters in the previous voter list. This time we will prepare such a voter list the nation can take pride in," the CEC said.
